Named after the nine pin-playing Dutch men briefly noted in the short story "Rip Van Winkle" by Washington Irving, The Crew of the Half Moon's music transports you in much the same way that Rip Van Winkle himself was transported--to another time, to a place in life that somehow seems as comforting as it is uncomfortable.
