Dearest,
I write to you today with good news. My chapbook, Kettle Whistles the Blues, was selected for publication by Robocup Press! I am quite excited about this because I will be working with the lovely Tamryn Spruill, and the illustrations in this chapbook were created by my talented cousin Johna. A narrative disguised as a "How-To" manual for making a cup of tea, Kettle Whistles the Blues is scheduled for publication next spring/summer. If you want to read more about it, perhaps you'll visit this page on Robocup's website. After all, Tamryn did a fantastic job with the synopsis ("Kettle Whistles the Blues uses the process of tea-making to highlight the epiphanies often found in the mundane."). Say you'll order a copy when it's time? I would really love for you to read and share it with others, especially those who, like me, cannot go a day without a cup of tea. Sometimes I think I belong in England. Anyway, I hope that all is well with you and that you'll write me sometime. In the meantime, I sure do send my love. Cheers, Kayla |
